The doctors at Sharda Hospital have given a new life to 16-year-old Ravina, who is battling a severe illness.

A team of surgeons led by Prof Ravi Kale (Pediatric Surgeon) and Dr Ashish Moudgil at Sharda hospital,
Greater Noida, removed a rare large tumour from a 16-year-old girl abdomen on 31 st august 2023. This
16 by 13 cm tumour lying in close proximity to the left kidney and the main vessels was removed after a
six hour long surgery. Raveena Vishwas a native of West Bengal was having pain in left side of abdomen
with a large mass palpable in her abdomen. She had gone to various hospitals for her ailment but was
referred to higher centers for further management. A CT scan and other investigation revealed a large
Paraganglioma sitting atop kidney and closely associated with the major blood vessels.


CME program organized by Department of Ophthalmology at Sharda Hospital

The Department of Ophthalmology at the School of Medical Sciences & Research (SMS&R) successfully organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on "Recent Advances in the Management of Diabetic Eye Diseases" on 8th November 2023. This program was orchestrated by Dr. Nirupama Gupta, Dean of the Department of Community Medicine, School of Medical and Research, Medical College, Sharda University, and Dr. J.L., Professor and Head of the Department of Ophthalmology, under the guidance of Goyal. The event aimed to educate healthcare professionals about the intricate relationship between diabetes and eye health. It brought together leading experts, including ophthalmologists, optometrists, dietitians, and general practitioners, to deliberate on the latest advances in the management of diabetic eye diseases.


Breast Cancer awareness programme organize at Sharda Hospital

The School of Medical Sciences and Sharda hospital, convened a star studded Continuing Medical Education conference "Sharda Radiology Breast Cancer CME 2023", along with the National Breast Imaging Society of India, on 31st October 2023, to commemorate "Pink October", a global initiative focusing on Breast Cancer awareness, under the guidance of Dr Prof Shabnam B Grover and Dr Prof Vishal Gupta. The venue for the meeting was Dhanwantri auditorium, located within School of Medical Sciences and Research, Sharda University.

The purpose of the event was to update all sections of medical professionals, in cluding medical students, Post graduate medical trainees and practicing Specialists and Academic Consultants about advances in breast cancer care using nowel Radiological and refined reconstructive Surgical techniques, with minimal invasion.


Sharda Hospital Initiates International Training Center in Collaboration with Richard Wolf Center

Sharda Hospital is delighted to announce its collaboration with the renowned medical technology company, Prima Vista-Richard Wolf Academy Germany, to launch the International Training Center on November 6, 2023. The center aims to enhance the latest techniques in patient care at a global level. It will be the first of its kind in India. The inauguration of this center was conducted by Mr. Y.K. Gupta, Vice Chairman of Sharda Hospital, and Dr. A.K. Gadpayle, Medical Superintendent of Sharda Hospital.

Expressing his views on this initiative, Dr. Manish Bharti, Senior Consultant and Interventional Intensivist in the Critical Care Medicine Department of Sharda Hospital and recipient of the ISCCM President Citation Award said, “The level of technology has risen significantly, and technology plays a crucial role in the medical field. We are proud of this collaboration and believe that the International Training Center will prove to be a valuable option for acute bronchoscopy ICU patient care. Prima Vista - Richard Wolf Academy Germany to enhance patient care methods and technologies on a global scale

Sharda Hospital Organized Awareness Camp as Part of National Eye Donation Fortnight

Sharda Hospital organized an Eye Donation Awareness Camp during the National Eye Donation Fortnight from the 25th of august to the 8th of September, 2022. The camp's objective was to raise public awareness of the value of eye donation and inspire people to pledge to donate their eyes posthumously. The hospital team along with students from affiliated Sharda Medical College put together a Nukkad Natak and a Poster-making competition to spread the message on Eye donation. The camp was successfully completed with 126 eye donation pledges through 150 counselling sessions with the attendees.


SHARDA HOSPITAL CELEBRATED THE 75th INDEPENDENCE DAY

Sharda Hospital celebrated 75 years of illustrious accomplishments of India under the title of "Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav." Dr. Adesh K. QA Infotech Company donated various ventilators, monitors, and other equipment to Sharda Hospital. The company mourned the death of COVID-19 patients and thus to lend a helping hand they donated to the hospital using their CSR fund.

The Black Fungus Awareness seminar was conducted by the School of Dental Sciences, Sharda Hospital. M. Siddharth, the dean of the School of Dental Sciences, told the participants that how black fungus is affecting immune-compromised people across the nation.


400 people vaccinated at Sharda Hospital’s 24x7 drive-thru Vaccination facility

400 people got vaccinated at Sharda University’s 24x7 drive-thru Vaccination facility. 1100 registrations were recorded on Sunday, 6 June at Sharda Hospital. 30-35 people got vaccinated in the drive-thru, 50-55 people got jabbed through walk-ins, and the rest were vaccinated through prior appointments.

10 drive-thru 24x7 vaccination booths have been set at Sharda Hospital. Along with the vaccination, people can get free physician, dental, cardiology, physiotherapy, and dietician consultation at the hospital. For the supervision of an easy drive-thru vaccination drive, 15 teams of resident doctors, trained nurses, and other medical staff have also been set up by the hospital.


Special vaccine booth set up at Sharda Hospital and Sharda University campus

250 people got vaccinated at Sharda Hospital. Two centres with four vaccination booths are set up at Sharda University campus and Sharda Hospital for vaccination of people in the district.


Lungs, Eyes, Brain, and Skin at high risk due to Black Fungus

Dr. Aditi Sharma, Eye Specialist, Sharda Hospital, told NBT that the risk of black fungus is on people with low immunity. She stated that since the black fungus is attacking the brain, lungs, eyes, and skin, people must wear proper clothes, maintain appropriate food intake, and take proper measures during the pandemic.

1209 COVID-19 patients recovered, 10 lost the battle of life

1209 patients at Sharda Hospital have been recovered and discharged, but 10 people lost their lives in the battle with coronavirus in the hospital. Around 317 people have died due to severe infections in the lungs.


Rise in cases of COVID-19 among pregnant women and new-born

The spokesman of Sharda Hospital, Dr. Ajeet Kumar stated that till March 20, 2021, 96 deliveries have been done, out of which 9 women were found covid-19 positive; all the newborn children were healthy.


10 teams constituted at Sharda University

Under the guidance of Medical Officer Incharge, Dr. Ashutosh, ten teams have been set up at Sharda University.  The teams of nurses, specialists, and paramedics have been set up to perform dialysis of the kidney patients. PK Gupta, the Chairman, has stated that it has been instructed to admit patients within 10-15 minutes and perform their dialysis in the wardrooms only.


150 people got jabbed at Sharda Hospital

On the occasion of Tika Utsav, a total of 150 people got vaccinated at Sharda University. Three vaccination booths and two surveillance rooms were set up at the hospital. 18 senior citizens were also spotted at the hospital who came to get vaccinated.

“Hello Jagron”, a program highlighting the importance of COVID-19 vaccination was held at Sharda Hospital. Considering the rise in the COVID-19 cases, Sharda Hospital has been converted into a COVID-19 center again. A total of 380 beds have been set up in the hospital for coronavirus patients.

Special vaccine booth at Sharda Hospital set up for women’s on Women’s Day

A special vaccine booth was set up at Sharda Hospital, Greater Noida on women’s day to honor the women who came to get the vaccination. Ajit Kumar, joint registrar at the hospital told that all the doctors and employees were asked to come in pink clothes. 214 women got their first dose, 55 received the second dose.


4085 old age people got vaccinated in the third tier COVID-19 vaccination

45 years to 60 years age group adults got vaccinated in the third tier COVID-19 vaccination held on March 03, 2021. 1826 elderly got vaccinated in government hospitals and 2259 in private hospitals. The health department had a target of vaccination 7000 old age people in the third tier vaccination; a total of 4085 old age people were vaccinated. 


Only 30% of front-line workers got vaccinated in the mop-up round of COVID-19 vaccination

Out of 750, only 279 front-line workers got vaccinated in the mop-up round of COVID-19 vaccination at Sharda Hospital, Greater Noida. Out of these, only 27 were to get their second dose of vaccination.

Sharda Hospital sets up liquid oxygen tank for Covid-19 patients

Sharda Hospital has switched to liquid oxygen supply for its critical patients. A 13,000 cubic litre liquid oxygen tank has been placed in the hospital, from where the liquid oxygen is converted into gas through a compressor, and carried to all hospital beds through pipes lines

Sharda Hospital to treat children with Covid-19

Sharda Hospital being one of only hospitals equipped with government paediatric ICU (PICU) and neonatal ICU (NICU) facilities. Sharda Hospital will treat children with Covid-19. The hospital has treated 199 children with Covid -19 since April and has a paediatric department for children. 1st private hospital in Noida to begin IVF treatment

Sharda hospital and School of Medical Science & Research (SMSR), Sharda University is the first private medical college in Gautam Budh Nagar district to be accredited by ICMR and district health department to carry out IVF procedure.
